The Utah League of Cities and Towns was first organized in 1907. ULCT serves 248 cities and towns in the State of Utah. ULCT represents municipal government interests with a strong, unified voice at the state and federal levels. Further, ULCT provides information, training and technical assistance to local officials on municipal issues, and works to create a greater public awareness and understanding of municipal responsibilities, governance and administration. ULCT is a non partisan, inter-local, government cooperative, working to strengthen the quality of municipal government and administration of Utah’s cities and towns.

UTA ADVISORY BOARD

The advisory council have different backgrounds and expertise and are nominated and elected from the County Council of governments. Their duty is to place checks on the trustees and bring in local perspective to make sure UTA is serving the local communities. MPO FINANCE

Provides funding strategies for the various transportation projects to the MPO Regional Planning Committee. Membership consists of two elected representatives from the north, south, and central Utah County. There are also three Utah County Commissioners, Utah Transportation Commissioner, UTA representative, Chamber of Commerce representative, and Region 3 representatives. Generally meets once a month in the MAG Conference Room.

MAG EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee consists of at least three Regional Council members who are elected at the annual meeting to serve for one year (until the next annual meeting). The Executive Committee is required to include the Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer of the Regional Council as ex-officio members. In June 2002, the Executive Committee was expanded to seven members to allow for additional participation by the member agencies. The MAG By-Laws indicate that the business that arises between meetings of the Regional Council can be conducted by the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee also serves as the Finance Committee.
